Recent advances in engineered wood products, like LVL (Laminated Veneered Lumber) offer you an alternative to traditional solid timber and / or steel as a clearspan construction material.

After your initial contact, we’ll visit you for an on-site consultation to discuss what can be achieved within your budget. Initial designs use standard bay widths, depths and heights to make the best use of construction materials, but these can be adapted for the specific purpose of your building or shed. You’re welcome to take advantage of our building experience to get ideas and find solutions.

Quality construction materials for a tough building or shed
We know that sometimes, in farming or industry, your building might take the odd knock, and that the New Zealand weather will test its toughness year after year. That’s why we use good quality construction materials in every aspect of your building.
Timber is an easy product to work with, making it a ‘friendly’ carpentry based construction material, which doesn’t require engineering to be adapted to tiny discrepancies on site.
Advances to engineered wood products, like LVL, have allowed us to offer greater spans in timber construction as an alternative to an ‘all steel’ structure.
We also only use NZ manufactured cladding, such as Colorsteel, zincalume, and ply. The details matter and come as standard, like strong poles treated to last, and high quality galvanised fixtures and fastenings.
Like our building designs, construction options are flexible, including materials only, kitset, and fully project managed, concept to completion builds.
If your building or shed carries the TUMU name, you can rest assured it was built with the best quality materials, that are 100% NZ grown and manufactured from sustainable sources.
